God Trusts Us
Jesus told a story about a man who entrusted significant resources to three of his servants. (Matthew 25: 14-29) He gave one five bags of gold, to another two bags of gold, and still another one bag of gold. They were given an opportunity to invest those resources for the purpose of increasing the amount entrusted to them. God trusts us. He has given us more than what we need to survive. He wants to see how we will invest our resources. Jesus defined faithfulness as investing what has been entrusted to our care for growth and increase. Twenty years ago, Calvary Assembly had a small place to meet and less than 20 members who gathered for worship. Today hundreds gather in a welcoming worship space in three services on a weekend. Such growth would not have been possible without each one investing in what God was doing in our community and in the individual lives of those who came. We still have time. We still have resources. There are still many in our community who have not yet connected to the grace of God. May God find us faithfully investing what He has entrusted to our care for continued growth.
