CALVARY IN THE
COMMUNITY
OUR PURPOSE: TRANSFORMATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
We strive for long-term connections that result in a societal change as our community learns a new and deeper meaning of what it means to receive and to give God’s love.
WAYS IN THE WILDERNESS. STREAMS IN THE WASTELAND.
(Isaiah 43:19)
OUR TEAMS

School #2 Partnership
You don’t need an education degree to make a difference in the lives of local students. We have a team of volunteers who goes in on a once/week basis each semester to assist teachers and build relationships with students. It’s relational and fun and shows the love of God to children in Rochester!

World Relief
Western New York
Our church partners with World Relief Western New York to come alongside local refugees in their resettlement process. There are opportunities to come alongside refugees from all over the world and to show them what it looks like to be cared for by a neighbor.

Churchville-Chili Schools: Practical Needs Team
We have relationships with several counselors, social workers and teachers at Churchville-Chili. When a student has a physical need that can’t be met by family, this team receives an invitation to help that student. Each gift comes with a note to remind them that God loves them, and so do we.

Open Door Mission
Once a month in the odd months of the year, volunteers serve a meal and facilitate a short worship service at the Open Door Mission in Rochester. This is a great way to practically and spiritually meet the needs of the homeless population in Rochester.

Meal Train Team
Our meal train team provides meals for families both within our church body and also in our community. Whether a family just had a baby, lost a loved one, or had an unexpected change of circumstance, having a meal prepared for them is a weight off their shoulders and an avenue for them to see the love of God.
